How do I know if my loved one needs care?
Signs include mobility challenges, falling, diffi culty with bathing, diffi culty managing basic housekeeping, feeling depressed or withdrawn, unable to prepare food or weight loss, poor medication compliance, recent hospitalization, or simply wanting to age in place with support. Conversation with us is free, and no pressure.
What services does Provident Care off er?
We provide companionship, assistance with bathing and personal care, medication reminders, meal preparation, light housekeeping, transportation to appointments, and post-operative support, essentially, we help seniors stay independent at home while giving adult children peace of mind.
How much does home care cost?
Pricing depends on the level of care and hours needed, but we work transparently with families upfront. Many clients are surprised to learn it’s often less expensive than assisted living, especially when combined with VA insurance or long-term care policies. We are very good at assessing your care needs and being creative in developing a plan of care that fi ts within most any budget.
Does insurance cover your services?
It varies. Most long-term care policies and veterans’ benefi ts cover various amounts of care. We’ll help you navigate your specifi c coverage and explore options like CalPERS or private insurance.
How do you match caregivers to clients?
We carefully assess each senior’s needs, personality, and preferences, then match them with trained caregivers who are a genuine fi t. We believe the relationship matters as much if not more than the skills. A heart for caregiving is essential.
Are your caregivers background-checked and trained?
Absolutely. All our caregivers are DOJ fi ngerprinted and screened, registered with the State of California, bonded, drug tested and trained in basic safety protocols. We take trust seriously; you’re inviting someone into your home.
What if my loved one doesn't click with their caregiver?
We listen and we swap. Finding the right person sometimes takes a conversation or two, and that’s completely normal.
Can you provide care after a hospital discharge?
Yes. Post-operative care, recovery support, and transition planning are core to what we do. Hospitals refer to us because our Care Managers ensure a smooth transition between your hospital team and your home caregiving team, thus ensuring you reveive the kind of care necessary for a speedy recovery.
Do you off er overnight or 24-Hour care?
We can arrange both. Overnight care is especially helpful after surgery or during acute health changes. Let’s talk about your situation.
What's the minimum number of hours required?
We’re fl exible. Some families need a few hours weekly, a few minutes a day, while others need full-time support. There’s no one-size-fi ts-all.
How quickly can you start care?
We typically can start the same day. We have Care Manager available 7 days a week to answer your questions, develop a care plan and get care started.
What happens if a caregiver calls in sick?
We have backup coverage lined up. Our full time CarePros, who are our most trusted and skilled caregiving staff , are at the ready to fi ll in if your favorite caregiver is ill or needs the day off . Your care doesn’t stop because someone’s under the weather.
Do you handle medication management?
We can remind, organize, and help with non-injectable medications. For complex medical needs, we work alongside your loved one’s doctor and home health nurses.
Can caregivers help with transportation?
Yes. Doctor’s appointments, grocery trips, and social outings. In the client’s car, or if wheelchair transport is needed, we handle all of it.
What if my family member has dementia or cognitive decline?
We have a Teepa Snow Specialized Trainer in house, which is very rare. So our caregivers are trained in latest skill sets of dementia-friendly communication and patience.
How do I communicate with Provident Care about changes or concerns?
Direct access to your Care Managers. You get their number; they return your calls. It’s that simple. As well as our Owner and CEO Robin Conley number, if you feel your concerns haven’t been met.
Do you work with families who have limited English profi ciency?
Yes. We have multilingual staff and caregivers, and we’re committed to serving our diverse Central Valley community.
What's your cancellation or exit policy?
No long-term contracts. You’re free to adjust care levels or end services with notice. We want families who choose us, not be locked in.
How do I get started?

What if I get more sick? Will I have to go to a facility?
No, we have caregivers who’s skills range from companions to CNA’s who have previously cared for clients in nursing homes. As your condition changes, our Nurse Care Managers instruct your trusted caregiver in how to meet your changing needs. We can arange for wheel chair transport for doctors appointments as well as bring in Home Health Nurses if necessary. We believe that nearyly everyone can be cared for at home, if that is their desire.
