24-Hour Care Services

Provident Home Care offers extended shifts, most commonly in 8, 12 or 24-hour increments, although you may choose any amount of care ranging from a 4-hour mini-visit to 24-hours of care per day.

A 24-hour shift is designed for aging loved ones who need more than limited or occasional assistance.

When your aging loved-one needs help at home, you may feel very overwhelmed and at a loss for what you can do and what your options are. This can happen when your aging loved-one experiences a fall or other unplanned, accidental medical event. We also find that this can happen when your loved-one has a planned surgery that may require a recovery period after.

Senior Awareness Day – Website link

Senior Awareness Day originated in 1979. The concept was introduced by Frank Bodin, an Escalon community leader and Chairman of the County Commission on Aging. His vision enhanced community awareness of older adults’ contribution to the prosperity and vitality of San Joaquin County and has increased seniors’ awareness of the many programs and services available to them at little or no cost throughout the County. The San Joaquin County Human Services Agency coordinates with many public and private agencies and hundreds of volunteers of all ages, work together to make this event possible. Please click on the link for more information and ways for you to participate.

California Senior Legislature (CSL) Elections

Become a CSL Senior Senator or Senior Assemblymember! The California Senior Legislature has been working to improve the lives of California’s seniors since 1981. This nonpartisan organization has sponsored over 200 new laws helping seniors with financial abuse, health care, transportation, housing, and more. CSL members advocate diligently during each legislative session to have state lawmakers carry and support the CSL’s top State Legislative proposals. It then tracks the progress of its legislative proposals through a series of monthly reports.
